Bumped St Edmund's

From the start, W2 looked strong. The W3 Jesus boat that was chasing us had a disastrous start, crashing into the bank, leaving our girls free to go for the bump. Holding station from the start with St Eddies, W2 slowly made steady gains throughout the course, in particular round grassy. For those in the bank party, it was fantastic to watch- St Eddies would push off for 10 strokes, but our girls always answered with pressure of their own, each push bringing them closer. With some brilliant coxing and great perseverance from the crew (including a fairly massive slide malfunction!) W2 finally had overlap halfway down the reach, forcing St Eddies to concede. With this level of determination throughout the boat , W2 are looking very strong for the rest of their bumps campaign.
