Bumped Selwyn II
Remarkably, we managed to be in the boat for the two hours that it didn't rain! After yet another delay to our division while part of the W3 division was re-rowed, we were back in the boat and ready to go.
As expected, LMBC shot off in an immediate fly-or-die to avoid Hughes. They moved up on us slightly, again affecting our rhythm and meaning the stride was neither comfortable nor effective. We hadn't moved at all until we finally hit a good rhythm at first post, LMBC dropping off behind. Coming into the gut, we gained to 3/4 of a length on Selwyn where they held us round Grassy. Coming out of the corner, the rhythm and length picked up again, and we slowly reeled them in, making contact before Ditton.
All in all, a good row, and the fact that we didn't bump until Ditton was credit to the much improved pace of the Selwyn boat. Tomorrow's target is Emma II.
